Senior Research Scientist, Biophysics (Contractor)

A leading precision?oncology organization is seeking a Senior Research Scientist (Biophysics) to support small?molecule drug discovery. This hands?on role sits within a collaborative Lead Discovery group and focuses on biophysical and mechanistic characterization of small?molecule/protein interactions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and run SPR binding studies (Biacore S200, 8K+).
• Conduct compound screening and mechanistic assays (nanoDSF, DLS, Spectral Shift).
• Manage external CRO biophysics studies.
• Analyze data, support SAR, and contribute to hit?to?lead/lead optimization.
• Present results and prepare high?quality study reports.

What You Bring

• PhD in biophysics, biochemistry, or related field.
• 3+ years of industry or relevant academic experience in small?molecule biophysics.
• Strong expertise in SPR and additional biophysical methods (TSA, DLS, NMR, ITC, etc.).
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast?paced, collaborative environment.
• Curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for impactful science.
