Physician – Hematology/Oncology

Job Summary: Hematology/Oncology Physician Locum Tenens (High Demand – This Will Move Quick!)                                                         

Location: Central, AZ
Duration: Up to 6 months, starting ASAP
Schedule:

• Days: Monday-Thursday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM – Flexible with provider to get the 40 hours per week
• Friday: 36 patient hours + 4 hours admin time
• Frequency: 3-4 weeks/month + 1 weekend of call/month – prefer full time coverage

Responsibilities:

• Setting: General Medical Oncology, hospital-based, and clinic.
• Daily Census: 12-15 patients, with patient encounters in the morning and afternoon.
• Support Staff: Oncologist, Medical Assistants, RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Referral Specialist, Receptionists, Patient Advocate, and Practice Manager.
• EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

• Licenses: Arizona license required, IMLC accepted.
• Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology, BLS required, ACLS preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in medical oncology.
• Credentials: DEA required.
• Vaccines: COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (exemptions allowed).
